Coconut tubers, also known as coconut hearts or coconut buds (in Hanoi) or coconut sprouts (in the southwestern region of Vietnam), are the tender core located at the top of the coconut tree trunk.
After removing the leaves and peeling off the tough outer husk, the tender core, known as the coconut tuber, is obtained:
consisting of the young coconut shoot, tender coconut husk, and sometimes even the young coconut flowers. This tuber has a creamy white color, crisp texture, and a deliciously sweet, rich, nutty, creamy, and refreshing taste.
