Agarwood, also known as oud, is a resinous wood derived from the trunk of the Aquilaria tree. It is commonly found in the ancient forests of the southern region of Vietnam, known as the South Central Coast. When the Aquilaria tree is damaged by external factors, it produces a fragrant resin as a self-healing response. Over time, the resin-saturated wood becomes highly valued and is referred to as agarwood.
